Remidine® (Loratadine)

Properties

Loratadine, the active ingredient of Remidine®, exhibits potent, long acting H1-antihistamine activity with no central sedative or anticholinergic effects.

Loratadine, is well absorbed after oral administration, is almost totally metabolized and has a distribution half-life of 15, 3 hours.

Loratadine and its active metabolite are highly bound to plasma proteins.

Indications

Remidine® is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis or idiopathic chronic urticaria.

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years: one tablet of Remidine® per day.

Side effect

Fatique, nausea, headache and tachycardia have been reported rarely, but causality has not been established.
